Diann Bayes

Native Texan/Blogger/Photographer/Quester

I’m Diann Bayes and I’m not your average blogger. In fact, according to statistics, only 7% of bloggers are over the age of 50. I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, traveler, road warrior, and proud Native Texan. Apparently, I’m ancient in the blogging world but I don’t believe that.

Travel is my love, particularly on the open road. In 2016, I took a year off to experience the southwest in an RV along with my husband, Dan, living as Eccentric Nomads.

As an amateur photographer, my quest is to discover the vast size of Texas. I enjoy great food, meeting interesting people, and sharing my stories of the Lone Star State.

I’ve lived in more than 20 cities and towns in Texas and have visited almost all of the 254 counties. I live in east Texas.

I’ve been shooting photography since 2012. Most of my photos can be found on my Flickr account. While they’re not just of Texas, a significant portion of them are. Photographs I’ve taken around the country have been used in more than 100 on-line articles including TripSavvy.com, TownandCountryMag.com, TexasMonthly.com, HoustonChronicle.com, DeepSouthMag.com, Fodors.com and HuffPost.com
