As we come up on the 5th anniversary of the founding of How Big Is Texas, what better way to start the month of April?
I am honored to announce on this special day that the Texas Legislature has named the Official International World Headquarters of How Big Is Texas as the OFFICIAL TINY HOUSE OF TEXAS!!!
According to Senator Thick of Sham County, “When I learned about the headquarters in northeast Texas and got to see it for myself, I knew I had to push this legislation forward. Diann has done and amazing job with sharing her love for Texas, and I would drink a glass of sweet tea in her headquarters any day.”
Built by my husband Dan two years ago to resemble the store my great grandfather had in Smith County back in the day, I am still pinching myself that this has happened, and my hobby has been recognized by the state of Texas. The headquarters serves as my office and podcast room and is Texas themed through and through, thanks to gifts and collectives I’ve amassed along the way.
I am honored and look forward to sharing many more years of traveling the great state of Texas and sharing the wonderful stories of my fellow Texans. Who knows? Maybe another trip around the perimeter of Texas is due.
Until next time…from Texas…safe travels!
Oh, and by the way, April Fools!
Seriously, how do we make this happen?
