How Big Is Texas

Local Texas Eats across the Lone Star State

One thing that has always been an interesting experience for me in my travels is the culinary scene in a community. Whether it’s a large city or small town, the food tells its own story, especially in Texas.

As we travel across the Texas perimeter, we’ll stop along the way for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, oh, yes, and lots of caffeine. After all, it’s more than 3,100 miles over nine days.

We’ve already scouted out some meal options. While we enjoy chain restaurants, we want to focus on the mom and pop restaurants unique to the communities on this journey and eat in the heart of Texas.

We’d love to hear from you regarding your favorite foods across Texas. Do you have enjoy a special type of food, restaurant, or food truck in the Lone Star State? Send us your favorites. Maybe we’ll stop at one along the way. If not this trip, maybe a future endeavor.

Now I’m hungry. Looking forward to your comments.

Until next time from Texas … safe travels!
